What churches were in Jordan Township in the 1890's

I am working with a cousin in England trying to find the day of birth for a member of a branch of our Cheetham family. My location is New England.

John and Sarah Cheetham briefly came to the US and settled in Jordan Township during the 1890's. By 1904, they had returned to England.

While they were in Jordan Township, they had three children. Two of the births, Elsie and Olive were registered and we have gotten birth certificates for them. However, son John's birth, Oct 1898, wasn't registered.

We have thought that perhaps we might come close to his actual day of birth if the children were baptised and we could get a copy of his baptismal record.

I am having trouble hunting in the search engines for a listing of churches in the area of Jordan Township in existance in the 1890's.

Can anyone tell me what churches and their denominations existed in the area of Jordan Township in the year 1898 when John was born and where he might have been baptised?

Thanks from damp and cold New England
