I have noticed working at the rink that TSAHA is not a tax exempt organization. Every month the league is paying taxes that are almost equal to one player's league fee. While this may not seem like an extreme number in the big picture, it would still help to lower costs at least a little. Price seems to be a concern to many of the players, so why not look into it. Obtaining tax-exempt status usually requires something as little as giving a $50 dollar scholarship to a college student who plays in the league. I am willing to fully research everything that is needed to obtain this status if everyone is interested. |
