Scooby Ireland and PSNI roadsafe event Sunday June 15th
The club has been invited to this event which is at Junction 1 Antrim...Side Car Park (behind Billabong etc) 1300 - 1800 approx. This is a personal invitation to the Club and they are really hoping we can attend in some sort of number as there is never any italian machinery at all these events. This would be a great opportunity for us to promote the club. On the day there will be.. 1.Air Ambulance Stand 2.wrc trade stand 3.Local radio staion roadshow / live music 4.PSNI/Fire/Ambulance cutting demo 5.PSNI stand 6.Dinky Donuts 7.Chocolate Fountain 8.Models 9.Carsport Coverage 10.NI's top websites stands :- We would like to offer your site a 15 car stand please can you confirm to ulsterscooby@hotmail.co.uk or log onto www.scoobyireland.com 11.autoglym stand 12.Local media coverage 13.loads of Prizes for multiple show categories 14.Possible Fast Car Feature And much much more I need to give the orginisors a rough idea of how many from the club can attend so please let me know as soon as you can. They have provisionally put 15 spaces aside for us so lets put a decent show on and fill all 15 spaces. What do you think ? |

I definitely wouldn't make it for 1.00pm and as far as I know they want clubs to be there even earlier to get the cars organised, so unfortunately I'll not be going. |

I'll try and book the day off but as Ash will be going with the Scooby lot it might be tight. Just a shame that the 500 will be in the USA by then cause I would of been good publicity.... Jim |

Just been talking to one of the guys organising this and it's going to be a big event aimed at Clubs. It is shaping up to be a very good show which I now believe the Club should pull all the stops out and for as many members to attend as possible. There is no limit on age of vehicle so we can bring everything we have. It's on a Sunday so surely most of us should be able to make it, even for a couple of hours ! |

Good on you James. Hope smokies sorted I told the orginisors of this that I would bring along 15 cars/bikes. So come all don't let me down, it's a Sunday, it's in the afternoon so you don't have to get up early for it, and there's shoping for the other half so you can bring them along (I'm having to bring the kids with me. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I'll even speak to him upstairs about the weather

I've had an e-mail from a chap called Patrick Hurst who will, hopefully, be bringing his Alfa SZ to this. He only returns from the States on the morning of the 15th but he hopes to still be able to make it. |

Right little update for Sunday. They have asked that we start gathering around 11am and there will be a cafe specially opened for any early birds. As I'm bringing the kids I cannot make it until a bit later so I could really really do with a volinteer to be there for around 11. If it's at all possible would someone be able to lift the Banner and gazeebo off me (I can meet in Belfast if it suits) so we can get it up there as eraly as possible. I would like us to come across as professional as possible for this one. Also to add to the list of people going Mervyn Stewarts might be providing a couple of cars to add to the stand. Probably a 500 and a Brera or 159. and one of the guys from the RMS site is bringing along his Ducati 999 with the possibility of his mate binging another 999. So can someone help me out to get things up and running by 12am ? |

According to the guys in Mervyn Stewarts they are hoping to bring the Brera S if they are allowed to register it as a demonstrator.They were going to take the 147GTA,but it will be ALL MINE by Sunday!!

Yes they were trying to keep the GTA from you until Monday. I had nothing to do with it  I don't think the S will be a goer, but you never know. |

Right just spoke to the organisors and they would like as many as possible to be there as close to 11.30/12.00 as you can but will not turn anyone away if you are a bit late, but please don't abuse their good nature by leaving it to the last minute. I know how hard it is to organise these things. Oh and Mr Secretary they will allow you in ok at 1.30. We'll keep a space for you. It's on hard ground and the cars/bikes will be placed in a straight line, I'll speak to Jim on how I'd like you all to park for maximum effect. They are expecting around 150 cars and there are a lot of trade stands, And a burger van. And Mr sudds wash is paying the first £1 I believe, if anyone needs a wash when you arrive, (Ian) So clean cars as they'll probably be in Carsport Mag. Any other questions ring me. 07900211644 |

Well the show was good and the weather held up. Out of 22 people who said they would come with us 10 cars and 1 bike attended. Mervyn Stewarts as ever supported us by bringing along a Brera Spider and a 500 courtesy of Brian and Paul was it? so big thank you to all of you who suported the Club for this event. Special thanks to Jim and Ian for arriving early and having everything ready for the rest of us just to arrive and enjoy. I only managed to get a couple of photos but I think Ian may have more.   Oh and I only found out about 9.30pm that night when one of the shows organisors arrived at the door, that my Lancia had been awarded a prize for 3rd best non Subaru. This was a real surprise to me because I didn't enter it in anything
