HERE WE WILL DISCUSS VARIOUS ISSUES PERTAINING TO SINGING. WHEN YOU START A NEW SUBJECT OR REPLY TO AN EXISTING ONE, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR VOICE TYPE (Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone, etc.) WITH YOUR NAME. IF YOUR VOICE WAS NEVER CLASSIFIED, JUST PUT WHAT PART YOU SING IN THE CHOIR: Sop I or II, Alto I or II, etc. THANKS!!!

Vanessa Williams

This is an awesome interview. Reading about Vanessa brings tears to one's eyes. You can feel the love and reverence she feels for the Lord. This is a 'special' kind of love - the kind that is both elating and humbling. Makes one want to love the Lord even more.
On the musical note, her voice just soars. This lady does things with her voice without even trying. Imagine what comes out when she does put forth an effort. The passion and pitch put you in a different place. And to think, she is grounded. WOW!!!
Dawn, thank you for sharing this with us. You ROCK!

Re: Vanessa Williams

I have yet to hear Vanessa sing but I'm excited to hear her! Hopefully I'll get the opportunity some time soon...

Re: Re: Vanessa Williams

Hey Daniel!!! I'm glad you checked out the interview with Vanessa. I don't have her solo CD yet, but I've heard it's fab. But Vanessa's voice is absolutely awe-inspiring on Richard Smallwood's live CDs with Vision. Definitely check them out!

Your friend,
D!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Vanessa Williams

On Friday, January 2, 2004 at approximately 6:30 PM a HUSH fell over the crowd rushing into the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlbor MD. What caused this phenomenon? The GLORIUS tones of Vanessa Williams singing "Holy Thou Art God". As the crowd was entering the Show Place Arena for New Year's revival, videos were being shown on the 3 huge screens in the seating area. As Vanessa Williams began to sing, you could feel an almost electric charge zinging through the air and as her voice rose with the spirit of praise and worship, some 2000 people fell totally still and silent, riveted to the screen as she sang. Amazing how something so beautiful can move you to the point where you can not move at all. It was a beautiful thang! If you missed it, shame on you! If you want to know what it felt like, go buy the CD and see for yourself. You will be moved.
