Lalah is most definitely the bomb and so is "Outrun the Sky." I had heard her do "We Were 2" a few times live with 2 backup singers and was anxiously awaiting to hear the song recorded. Lalah is amazing - it's all about the TONES!!!

On the second note, I haven't heard about the lawsuit with Anita (I'm assuming Baker?).

Is she not the bomb! I saw her on the now very disappointing Soul Train and she wowed me all over again. Lalah's freshman album was just a precursor to her amazingly genetic gifts. Listening to Boston at this very moment.

We Were 2's whooo-oooh-whooo-ooooh-ooohs, does make you want to slap someone's mama! She's truly a talent that gets overlooked like the Debelah Morgans of the oft-tainted and image-driven music industry.

On another note: BF suing Anita!!??? Come on folks, get it together. Is he that angry with women now that the divorce is settled? Can't be. A man who writes and produces that much love music cannot be this jaded. On the other hand, 'Nita, if you owe the brother, pay him. She blows me away!! I'm looking and looking for upcoming concert dates and nothing. I wish she'd announce a tour or something. An artist with this talent should be sought after and doing the **** thang all over the place.

I sing Tenor I in my church's choir. Now broken and more or less defunct because of Katrina, but we're getting there.

My heart really goes out to New Orleans. I sincerely hope the city comes back bigger and better than before and I know it will take alot of work/money from alot of people to make that happen. I can't even begin to imagine how people are putting their lives back together down there, but I'm hoping for the best.

Yeah, the thing is that the suit (allegedly) stems from back concerts that Anita backed out of and royalties from another album. So, he may well be within his rights if she's been reluctant to negotiate other terms or a payoff.

I'll definitely check out the Lalah site and see where she'll be. Better and Better just went off. That song's the reason I bought the album. Saw her and said, "she's baaaaccckkk!" Bought it the next afternoon.
