Mitchell/Padgett from Lexington, Edgefield and Aiken Counties
I am looking for the parents of John Dudley Mitchell (b Mar 1855- D aft 1920). He was married to Arhoda Padgett (1857-1935) d/o Manfred and Edney Padgett. On some records he is listed as John Dudley, on some as Dudley, and one time as John W. His children are Sallie (B 1875 D ?)husband Rufus Hite, William (B 1878) who married 2 times, Mary then Carrie, John D Jr (B 1883) married Ester, Minick (b abt 1885) married ?, Daisy (b 1893) married ? Weathersby, Roscoe (b 1896) may be Oscar, and Marie (B 1897) married to Buster Gunter. I would appreciate any information on this family. I cannot prove the parents of John Dudley Sr, and I would love to know where any of my family is buried. I think that he may be related some way to Green Berry Mitchell who married Susan Catherine Minick. Any help is appreciated and I will share the information that I have. Thanks!! |
