Eleazer & Haltiwanger
Johannes Eleazer came from Germany on the ship, Captain Crawford - mid 1700s. Does anyone know from what German town he came? Jacob Haltiwanger (Halldenwanger) came from Germany on the ship, Elisabeth. I found the town he came from if anyone is interested. He was from Sohnstetten, a small dorf (Village) 7.8 miles west of Heidenheim on present day highway B466. Would love to correspond with anyone researching these lines. My line of Eleazers is Johannes, Simeon, Henry, Harriett. My Haltiwanger line is Jacob, John, and Nancy Anna who married Henry Eleazer above. Bruce Johnson in Tennessee |

I have been to Sohnstetten twice. Still a small village. I gave info to John Haltiwanger, so you may have the Haltiwanger info. I have a copy of Deems Haltiwanger's book he compiled on the Haltiwanger and Allied families. Just get me know how I can assist you. Lynn |
