Moses C. CLARK
Searching for my g.gf,Moses C. CLARK,B.6-1833(supposedly Barnwell Co.)His father MAY have been Joseph CLARK.I have no other info on his parents. Mother?,siblings? By 1850, he was living in Gilmer Co., Ga. where he ma.Nancy ALLEN in 1852. Ab.1860 his family was living in Mo. where he became an ordained Baptist minister.From there, the family was in Paducah,Ky.Around 1876, the fam. was in Taylor Co.,Texas. Finally, ab. 1887, the family moved to Boggy Depot,Atoka Co.,Ok. prior to settling in Durant, Bryan Co., Ok.where he founded and became the 1st minister of the First Baptist Church. He d.Apr.1901.He ,Nancy and several family memnbers are buried in the Highland Cem. @ Durant,Ok. |
