Joel Leslie Lowman and ellen Bookman
Joel Leslie was my grgrgrandfather. He was married to Ellen Bookman in South Carolina. They had one child, Cary, born about 1833. The 1850 SC Census shows Joel as a single man living with his mother. I assume Ellen must have died. Also, Cary would be about 17 at that time and possibly married and not living with her father. Joel moved to Florida, Levy Co., in the summer of 1852, along with his brother Samuel, Samuel's wife Susan elizabeth Sharp(e) and Joel and Samuel's nephew George Washington Lowman. Would anyone have any info on Ellen Bookman or their daughter Cary??? Thanks Lindsey Lowman-Hager JB73 |
