Eleazer family of Lexington County, SC

William Robert Eleazer and Mattie Ellen Wessinger were married after April 1911.

In the 1920 census they have a daughter listed as Dorothy, age 12+.

In the 1910 census Mattie Ellen Wessinger is listed as a sister in the household of John Henry Wessinger.
Also listed in this household is a 2 year old female with the name Dortha. All family members listed with the last name Wessinger. I believe Dortha is the daughter of Mattie Ellen Wessinger and she appears as Dorothy in the 1920 census mentioned above.

In the 1930 census Dorothy Wessinger is listed as a boarder.

Dorothy A. Wessinger and Foster Thurmond Denny were married in 1934. Dorothy died in 1987, her husband in 1993. Dorothy's obituary does not mention her parents. Foster's obituary does not mention the maiden name of his wife.

I believe Dorothy (or Dortha) is the same person. It apprears that she may have been born to Mattie Ellen Wessinger prior to Mattie's marriage to William Robert Eleazer.

Any assistance in clearing this up would be greatly appreciated.

Richard
