New Smokeout
I haven't written one of these in a while but since we just had our biggest show of the year I thought it would be proper to do one now. I Think the show came out great despite a few dissapointing no shows and a BIG Failure to wrestle the show was a success. I Would have liked to see the Gwar Machine there, but oh well. He obviosly has more important priorities than the fed he helped to start. On another note we didn't see the main event we were all hoping for because the "champ" and I use that term very lightly, did what he's become imfamous for, he pretended he didn't know the show was when it was and got drunk to the point he couldn't wrestle. Oh well. He's the one who came out looking like a chump by losing the belt like a ****** His brother luckily stepped up to the plate to give a great match with Assassin instead. Those are the only negatives besides a few unfortunate injuries, none too serious thankfully, but the positives definatly outweigh the negatives in this case. We started the show with a hard hitting match between Lockjaw and Tank. Great match between two monsters. Unfortunatly due to a lot of nagging injuries Tank, who won the match was un able to compete later in the Rumble itself. Next we saw two WSW guys go at it. Lizard who has been featured in Past documentaries on "Backyard" wrestling, and the Psyclown. I was told not to expect much from this match, but you know what, I was surprised. These guys had a good little match there. Lizard pulled off a crazy swan ton bomb, and psyclown is defonatly not as bad as he thinks. I see potential in that guy. Next we saw Myself, Slash defending the Beast of the East Title against the Jersey Devil. Match was shrt, but action packed. Both of us were kinda worries that we'd stink up the show since I'm so out of shape and JD hasn't wrestled a match in over a year, but we both pulled out a great match I think. I'm happy with it. Next match was a no DQ rematch from the 2004 Rumble putting two former UGWA Champs against each other. Dynamite Dave vs the Ironman Medieval. This match was the show stopper. Best match of the show hands down. When you put two guys like them against each other it's hard to be disapointed. The main event, which was changed at the last second, was the Anarcgist replacing Angel vs Assassin. This was like watching a great white maul a retarded kid with one leg. It really was a massacre, but like always the Anarchist took the ass whooping and kept coming back for more. The Angel of Death might have more god given ability than Anarchist, but he definatly don't got more heart. Last but not least was the Actual Rumble which literally tore down the Ring. This was brutal and in my opinion te best Rumble match we've ever seen. Too bad we're gonna need to fix the frame now, which was ****ed up to begin with when I got the ring, but that's another Smoke out all together. It was a bumpy road to this Rumble with a lot of delays, but we made it and pulled off a hellova show. Congats to everyone and thankyou for busting your ass for the UGWA . With This show, I'd like to throw away the label of "Backyard wrestling", which to me has always been a derogatory term the media used to classify us with a bunch of stupid ****s, and from now on refer to us as "underground" wrestlers. Long live the UGWA ******** |

good show. I have some war wounds from Medieval...my eye is swollen s well as the side of my dome......I only recommend you guys start having live shows....It seems like most of the guys were good just practicing before the show anyway. Time to fix the ring! |
