NEW SMOKE OUT 8/26/06
NEW Smoke Out It has been a while since I wrote one of these, but since I got some time to kill, what the hell. Drama with the ring has finally stopped. THANK GOD! and we have a super card, Project Mayhem tomorrow which is shaping up to be pretty **** good. at least on paper it looks good. We also got in about a month's time a documentary comming out which will be sold at Wal- Marts NATION WIDE! The doc is titled WWE Unauthorized, and we will be featured in a 10 minute more or less section in the doc. I sent some really good footage to them so hopefully the average mark ass wrestling fan will pick this up and be plesantly surprised by our "backyard" wrestling. Backyard wrestling has a really bad reputation because of all the idiots out there doing it WRONG and making all of us looks bad and The UGWA is hopefully gonna help take a step in the right direction for correcting Backyard wrestling's rep as a whole. I can't completly blame the idiots doing this **** out there though, cuz for the most part any time the media gets ahold of backyard wrestling they look for the worst, most violent and sloppy crap they can find to ***** out to the masses. It's crap like that, and the "Best of Backyard wrestling" that pigeon holes all of us as sloppy garbage wrestlers with no real talent. If you stop and think about how the term backyard wrestling even came to be, it wasn't meant to compliment us, it was meant to put us down and be-little us. The 1st time I ever heard "Backyard wrestling" was on 20/20. I'm sure some of you remember that. I had already been wrestling for like 2 years when I first saw the special, musta been a slow news week or something, but Barbera Walters and all the little writters at 20/20 did a whole segment on it showing a couple of idiots from Butt****, USA beating the **** out of each other with barb wire, bat's, glass....and no wrestling moves. Talking about how we're idiots just trying to copy what we see on TV like we're all little retards who don't know any better. And the sad thing is, this very episode of 20/20 inspired all kinds of idiots across america to start up copying what they saw on 20/20 more that pro wrestling. I was thinking, since we were around before that crap was on TV, maybe we should actually be called something else instead of backyard wrestling since we're so different from what everyone assumes we're doing. You all know what I'm talking about. You tell someone that doesn't know you wrestle what you do, and how do they look at you? Like you just told them you're ******* you sister, that's how. They might even smirk or laugh, why? Because they assume you're doing what the media tells you backyard wrestling is. They assume you're a ******* idiot, or such a wrestling mark that you have to go out and pretend you are your favorite wreslters. Well that's not what we're doing I'll tell you that. Backyard Wrestling has a bad rep, and I'm affraid it won't ever change. Thanks to Barbera Walters, the "Best" of Backyard wrestling (more like the worst) and the Insane Clown Posse, backyard wrestling will always be associated with dumb ass rednecks. I think it's time for a change! To me, calling me a backyard wrestler is like walking up to a black man and calling him a ******. It's a ******* insult to my intelligence, and to all the blood sweat and tears I've put into this for 10 years. If you wanna be a backyard wrestler, that's fine, but know that you will never have anyone's respect for that, no matter how good you are. I say today, us intelligent wrestlers draw the line and separate ourselves from the filth that is backyard wrestling. From This day foward we will be Underground Wrestling. It's time we changed the publics out look on what we do, and step out from pro wrestlings shadow, we aren't a crappy little league version of the WWE, we have our own identity and our own style which is different from pro wrestling, and even backyard wrestling. we take from everything and mix it into a cocktail of wrestling, MMA, street fighting, and acrobatics. We make sure we are trained enough so that we are safe in what we do, we don't just go out there and say **** it, we have pride in this ****. I will go out with this, **** Backyard, we're Underground! and if you have any **** repect for yourself or what you do, you're underground too. Long Live the Underground! -Slash out |
