PALMDALE -Team Pepper, the six walkers in training for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer three-day, 60-mile Walk for the Cure on Nov. 9, 10 and 11 in San Diego, will play host to a fundraising mixer Thursday at the home of Glynn and Rhonda Cady, 41145 Rimfield Drive.
The team members work for Terracciano RE/MAX All Pro Realty.
Proceeds from the mixer will help pay entry fees for the Team Pepper walkers. The cost is $10, which buys a homemade Mexican dinner and two drink tickets. The evening will feature a 50-50 raffle and numerous raffle prizes donated by the team's supporters. Auction items also will be offered, including a signed and framed Doug Oliver print and a set of Marty Bell designer plates.
The team raised $2,424 at "The Mother of All Garage Sales" on Sept. 29, which also will help with their entry fees.
Team Pepper is walking in honor of Maia Pepper and Pamela Greaves, as well as all loved ones lost to breast cancer and survivors. Pepper, an agent with RE/MAX All Pro and a member of the Women's Council of Realtors, died in September 2006 of complications of breast cancer. Greaves was Rachel Terracciano's mother, who died in May, also of complications from breast cancer.
For details about Team Pepper and the mixer, call Bill Graham at (661) 816-7657 or Dana Haycock at (661) 886-1113.
