My family was stationed at Itazuke in 1965-1968. My father was Tech.Sgt A.R.Compton he was the Base Movie Theater Mgr.at the Kasuga Theater,He also did the anouncing for the Football games,and he also worked at the Telephone Exchange. Living at Itazuke was the most memeorable time of my life.I had the best friends [MIKE AND KIM HOOVER,RUSSEL AND MIKE DAVIS, MIKE MULLENS,AND THE MADARISES] WHERE ARE YOU GUYS? I remember the Subteens Club [Mr. Perault] and the Base pool,Living at Itazuke was a different way of life,we were secure and had very little crime on base.everyone knew each other and got along.we didnt have any RACISM.I also remember the GREENWAVE and them serving the best RICE AND GRAVY! it would be nice to hear from anyone that was stationed at Itazuke.sincerely,alan r. compton
