Lee in BBC drama

I have been asked to start this thread for anyone who hasn't seen the video saying by DVO that Lee has a part in a BBC drama link is on any theme will do by PKP

Re: Lee in BBC drama
Re: Lee in BBC drama

Have just posted on the Any Theme thread.
What exciting news - thanks for the info.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Thanks Acer (and Maggiemay and PKP), it's fantastic news. Wonder what it is. Also thanks Ladies for the extra info which got cut when, presumably, they combined the two interviews which Denise gave.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

How exciting, can't wait for more news!

Re: Lee in BBC drama

When Lee tweeted that he'd been to see Cerys Matthews in concert in Bristol, I thought it was a bit odd - she'd been performing in London a few days earlier, but ours is not to reason why where Lee is concerned! However, now it becomes a bit clearer - if he was there anyway for filming............

Unless it's something new, all I know that's filmed in Bristol is Casualty - and presumably, by association, Holby City.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Just remember AL its a foot in the door. The important thing is to get it on his cv. The rest will take care of itself.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

I've just listened to Denise's interview. Isn't it great, the way she spills the beans about what Lee is up to? Love it!

Can't wait to find out what his role is!!!

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Lots of stuff is filmed in Bristol such as wildlife (Lee and the dolphins?) and parts of Dr Who, did so want Lee to get that part. He looks a bit like Tom Baker.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Hasn't 'Casualty' been moved to Cardiff?
The last two series of 'Being Human' were filmed in Bristol!!!
Maybe it's something new or a one off drama. Guess we'll just have to wait and see,

Re: Lee in BBC drama

When Denise said Lee couldn't go on hoiday he had a part in a BBC drama and they were on holiday she said of course Lee was with Dr somebody I couldn't catch who she said does anyone know who she was talking about and if so will it give a clue to what the drama is?

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Who?

Re: Lee in BBC drama

What a lovely interview with Denise and very exciting news for Lee and us too!
Squee!
Thanks Acer and ladies.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Hi LynneD do you mean DR Who

Re: Lee in BBC drama

I have only just got around to listening to the whole interview.
Denise looked & sounded so natural lovely & down to earth.

So exciting about Lee filming a BBC drama

Re: Lee in BBC drama

acer, you DID say Dr somebody!
I hope we don't have to wait too long to find out what he's been up to!
I'm hoping for a costume drama!
I've just caught up with Denise's interview. Thanks for the link PKP.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

LynneD could you hear the name Denise said my ears are not wonderful that is why I couldn't catch the name

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Acer, I just re-listened to the Denise interview and she doesn't mention any doctor at all. The bit that mentions Lee and the BBC job is as follows:

"I've just recently been on holiday and my husband was supposed to come with us, it was supposed to be our family holiday, but Lee has just landed a role in a BBC drama which is very exciting. So he was whizzed off to Bristol to start filming . . ."

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Wow I have been waiting for this to happen. Hope it is the break for Lee to show them what a multi talented guy he is.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Thanks PKP I know it is my ears I dont hear very well and you get words wrong thanks for putting me straight

Re: Lee in BBC drama

SSo maybe Casualty or Holby? Imagine Lee in a bed with variou parts of his body showing and nurses fighting to look after him. Or he could be the psycho on the ward?Hope we hear soon.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Could be interesting, Sue! Medical dramas have the potential for very sexy and very unsexy roles:

Best case scenario:
"patient with abdomen or inner thigh wound" per Little Miss Tizz at Twitter

Worst case scenario:
Patient with horrible all-over skin rash.

///

Best case scenario:
Mental patient who thinks he's disfigured like the Phantom of the Opera when he's absurdly handsome.

Worst case scenario:
Mental patient who IS disfigured like the Phantom of the Opera.

///

Best case scenario:
Gynecologist.

Worst case scenario:
Gynecologist.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

PKP, brilliant!

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Casualty is still filmed in Bristol until later this year I believe.

Holby City is filmed at Elstree in Hertfordshire.

Being Human moved to Barry, Cardiff, from the 3rd series and any future series are expected to remain in Barry.

Doctor Who is primarily Wales based unless they have a specific reason for going elsewhere (Italy for The Fires of Pompeii, America for The Impossible Astronaut). I think filming has wrapped for this series as well, and I don't know if a 7th series has been commissioned yet (I assume it's wrapped as Matt Smith keeps being seen frolicking with his girlfriend as if he has nothing better to do!)

Sources: my obsession with anything doctor-y related (Doctor Who or doctor/nurse programmes)

Re: Lee in BBC drama

With thanks to Pepsi at Lovelees for finding it, here's an article about some new dramas that the BBC has commissioned:-

LINKY THING

Re: Lee in BBC drama

I'm absolutely desperate to find out which one it is. Thanks for that link Johartuk & Pepsi. I really hope we find out soon.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Interesting and intriguing. Thank you Jo.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

too flippin' excited... I so want that man to spill!!!

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Thing is, if they've only just been commissioned then they probably won't be filming them yet.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

Thanks so much for putting in this thread. I have so little time to follow the forum these days and would have missed the interview without it. Denise spoke so well and so brilliantly about Lee and Betsy. it also explained why she holdayed without him. Love to all my LMAS friends.

Re: Lee in BBC drama

OMG! SOOoooooooooooooooo exciting
