the flood gates is a great place...exit 9 on 295 south near the bridgeport raceway

Its at the very end of floodgate road in bridgeport. 295 S, get off bridgeport raceway exit, stay right and follow till it stops. The creek on the left on your way down is also very good for largemouth and pike. I also use fresh clams on a 4/0 VMC circle hook. Also, if you can catch a few 6-9 inch white perch and live line them,you can really hook them up when the bite is on.I live in National park and have been fishing the river for over 30 years. BUT, always good days,AND bad days! lol
