I qualified on the Diodon late 62 and drank my dolphins on the same trip.
I was an ICFN when I reported then to IC3SS on her.
Made the westpac trip. When we left Pearl heading out for Okanawa on the first dive, clearing the bridge I missed the ladder rail and fell thru the hatch.
broke some bones in my lft food, rode my bunk most of the trip out.
Left the boat while in Yokuska headed for Nuc School.
Went onto Sculpin SSN-590 as an RO and another Westpac trip with some cool special ops stuff with Sony video cams.
I "fondly" remember "old Horrible" Max. Got to communicate with him a couple years ago but haven't
talked to him since. His e-mail address doesn't work now. Hope he's still kicking.
