We got a new gate put up when we were trying to adopt another cat. It's a high gate, more like a door but there are spaces in it for the wind to get through. I was out yesterday to get my new passport and when I got home the gate was wide open and I thought someone had been at the door and not closed the gate properly. When we looked closer we saw that the latch had bent with the force of the wind blowing against the gate. We tried to straighten it but it blew back again. Will have to either take a hammer to it to straighten it or buy a new latch.
When I was on the computer last night I gave up because of the wind. I'm up in the attic and the wind sounded like an express train and I could hear things hitting the roof, probably branches and twigs off the tree. It was really scary. I sometime sleep in the other room in the attic because of Jim's snoring but I had to put up with it last night because there was no way I was sleeping up there. Seems to have calmed down a bit now.
