that red Barchetta in Ballinderry is my dad's, when u saw it she was heading off for timing belt change.

was hoping to have it ready for the show today but the service hasn't gone to plan at all.

Too bad, missed the show myself with a faulty ignition switch :(
Hope to see it about soon, I usually pass him on the station road during the summer.

Re: Spotted on the roads

Saw a yellow Ferrari 456 driving along the Kings Road towards Dundonald ice bowl yesterday. Haven't seen one of these for a long time and can't remember the last time I saw a yellow one.

Re: Spotted on the roads

Aye Chris , that car was topic of much discussion a few years back. I think it was big Ian who summed it up best by saying it looks like something off the hotwheels collection.
It had disappeared for a while and I thought the owner had come to his senses and either resprayed or scrapped that particular eyesore but obviously not.
However, if infact It's a class project undertaken by one of the many local special schools then I take it all back! Bravo and keep up the good work boys and girls.

Re: Spotted on the roads

Oh my God!

I only saw an F40 coming onto the M1 at Newry yesterday around lunchtime. It hovered beside me before it got an opening in the overtaking lane and took off. I could smell oil and unburnt fuel for the next mile!!

Intoxicating!!

Re: Spotted on the roads

These might be really common, but I saw a nice red Guilietta Cloverleaf parked at Craigavon Shopping Centre this afternoon.

Re: Spotted on the roads

we live on the same lane then sir. that's why you've been seeing dad's Barchetta about.

if this **** rain ever clears up, i'll venture out for a walk with the pup again, so if i see you about i'll shout sir!

well, it looks pretty mint from the lane, so much so my mum walked our small dog and came back in saying "the 500 is out along the lane!!!"

Phil.

Re: Spotted on the roads

US Navy panda parked in St Anne's Sq tonight, spades and all

There was also a US cop car just outside but I think it was a ford.

Re: Spotted on the roads

Not sure if this counts, but on holiday in Tasmania at the moment.

I found an Italian car mechanic in Hobart. The place is coming down with Alfa's.

In addition to the nice stuff in his shed, I have seen a couple of GTV6's and GTV4's on the road. A few 75's, twinsparks and 3lt green cloverleaf. 2 or 3 33's as well.

A 116 Guiletta passed me on the road the other day, and today a blue 2lt Berlina saloon. Sadly with a boot spoiler attached, but at least it looks like it is used everyday.

There's a couple of Alfa 90's on the go as well.

Sorry no pictures, but no camera with me at the time.

Re: Spotted on the roads

A copper coloured McLaren MP4-12C passed me last night at 8.30pm on its way towards Killinchy/Balloo. I didn't know there were any McLarens in Ireland.

The back of it looks good, but otherwise it's looks are nothing to write home about.

Re: Spotted on the roads

Saw a red Coupe a few cars in front of me between Finaghy and Dunmurry this evening - same as mine but looked in better nick! Theyre getting pretty scarce.

I've just been behind the most beautiful and concourse Alfa 75 on the way into Newcastle. It was black with bodykit and lovely alloys. It had a hollybrook motors decal on the bottlid and a nice EDZ 888 registration.

Anybody know it?

Re: Spotted on the roads

Last summer I spotted a red roundback Spider at Hillview Nursery. A few weeks prior to that I spotted a light blue 750 Series Giulietta Sprint on the Antrim road near Chester's. It didn't have bumpers and it had numbers, which made me think it was visiting NI.

Ah, it's now for sale at Hollybrook Motors in Lisburn. no price on it though.........

Re: Spotted on the roads

Last time he had it up for sale a few years ago they were looking £13K. Nice car, but don't see 75's commanding that price yet!!

Saw a very nice blue Ferrari 456 today on Church Road Newtownabby coming out of the Halfords car park

Re: Spotted on the roads

Maybe he was buying some wonderful Halfords bling Pink LED ashtray for your Fezzer Sir?

Real reason I'm posting- Saw a really nice Guillietta coupe near Ballymena on Thursday.Looked to be in original (not restored)condition and was moving at a fair old lick!! I'd call the colour "strong" blue-very likemy GTA but non-metallic.Looked good!!

Re: Spotted on the roads

I think the guy in the Ferrari must have made a wrong turn there. I doubt there is any thing for sale in that center that would appeal to some one who drives a Ferrari. Unless he has dropped his standards???

Did that Giulietta Sprint have its bumpers on. I saw one a few summers ago on the Antrim Road without its bumpers. I really regret selling mine. Have you seen what they are selling for on the internet?
