Mr. Bernstein in Barcelona, Spain
BARCELONA!!! GREAT!!!
One month after Mr. Bernstein's 80th birthday I attended the Saturday concert on May 4th at l'Auditori, Barcelona. This event was MAGNIFICENT! Everything was perfect when Elmer conducted the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona. Included in the program were the "Hallelujah Trail" overture, suites from "Summer And Smoke and "Kings of the Sun" (a score many admirers remember and have asked for). Also - I was very happy to meet Mr. Bernstein there, to talk with him, to say how much I love his music. What a wonderful person he is! HE IS THE BEST!!! No doubt!
