Avoiding the LIRR—need a car from Brooklyn to Southampton

I’ve taken the LIRR to Southampton before, but delays and transfers always stress me out. This time I’d like to just relax and enjoy the ride from Brooklyn without all the stops and luggage dragging. Anyone know a good car service that won’t break the bank?

If you’re traveling with others, private car service might even out in price compared to train tickets.
