WEM Press Night

Pix of the after-party and curtain call are up at Getty and WireImage (the same set of pix actually)

Actually, the WireImage pix are better (the watermark isn't as obtrusive!):

Re: WEM Press Night

Thanks PKP!

Loving Lee in his tux (curtain call pics) and his black suit (afterparty pics).

The Lee and Denise pics are lovely.

Re: WEM Press Night

Just do a search at WireImage if the link doesn't work.

FYI, first review already up:

Re: WEM Press Night

Loving the Broadwayworld production photos. Ro has posted them
on the Timeline twitter page.

Re: WEM Press Night

I agree with everything in the Viva la Musical review. They have the whole show bang on!

Re: WEM Press Night

What lovely photos, thanks as usual for sharing these.

Re: WEM Press Night

Jazzylou how do I find that please.

Re: WEM Press Night

Jazzylou I have found it spoke too soon

Re: WEM Press Night

Thanks for the links PKP.
Lovely photos & a great review.

Re: WEM Press Night

The Daily Snail's coverage of the WEM press night:-

LINKY THING

Some nice pics of Lee and Denise. The pic where he's climbing into the car is funny - he looks like he's struggling to keep a straight face!

Nice to see that Niamh Perry was there (Daniel Boys was, also, but that isn't mentioned in the article).

Incidentally, I think those dresses with 'sheer panels' (see Denise's dress in the photos further down the page, which she wore for an outing to 'Britain's Got Talent' last week) look awful! It never ceases to amaze me what celebs will wear, simply because they've been told it's fashionable!

Re: WEM Press Night

Yes I agree but why did the DM have to put that pic in it was last week and nothing to do with Press Night

Re: WEM Press Night

Goodness knows! Though at least WEM got some coverage, so hopefully, some more ticket sales will be generated.

Re: WEM Press Night

Such a shame for Lee that he had his cold/bad throat on press night, it must have been really frustrating for him. The majority of the reviews are good but a few of them pick up on him not being on top form. I wasn't there so I don't know how he sounded but hopefully they know his usual flawless standards. I wish I was going again before the end of the run but having spent £99 on 2 tickets (before they introduced the 2 for 1 offer, grr!) that's my lot sadly :(

Re: WEM Press Night

An interview with Lee at the WEM Press Night after-party:-

LINKY THING

Re: WEM Press Night

Gosh, Lee looks exhausted, doesn't he? You can hear how husky his voice is, too. Sending lots of good wishes that he's soon back on top form.

Re: WEM Press Night

Lee looks as if he could do with a couple of days rest to get properly better

Re: WEM Press Night

Thanks, Greycat! It's a shame so many of the professional reviewers weren't observant enough to see that Lee was performing while ill, but I doubt the negative reviews will affect the box office. It's either the kind of show that appeals to you or it doesn't.

Re: WEM Press Night

Joharuk's linky thing is a bit of video, don't miss it.

Re: WEM Press Night

Thanks Greycat, poor Lee speaking for myself I think it would have been better if he had pulled out until he is better,he will be upset if he reads them,is he still doing the show or is he having a couple of nights off do you know?

Re: WEM Press Night

Another couple of nice reviews, including one from Broadway World who attended last night rather than press night:
