"Lee has let us know that he will be making a short guest appearance at the Salvation Army's Christmas concert in the Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday 25th November. We don't have any details yet but we will try and find out more for you (like how many songs he will sing) if we can"
"A little more info on the Salvation Army concert 25th November at the Royal Albert Hall. Lee told us this is a huge annual event when all the Salvation Army units across the country come together for a massive Christmas concert. Lee has been invited to be their very special guest and will sing two songs."
I think he's probably too busy with rehearsals for the panto to manage a full Christmas concert this year. I've told myself that I can't afford to go to London with my visit to Plymouth coming up in early January, that it's too much travel for just two songs... so why am I checking bus times and hotel websites?
Get real,Panic.
I've decided not to go to this. I've done plenty of concerts recently, RAH is not the easiest place to get to and my sister will be home from Indonesia so we have some family stuff to catch up on. I will enjoy him in panto. I must look at a January date when I can take a little train trip!
Just back home from the RAH. Very briefly, Lee sang 'Bring Him Home' and Elvis's 'Blue Christmas'. He was wearing a bluey-grey shirt and sprayed on black jeans!! BHH was fabulous, his control breathtaking!
We were told he dashed off into a waiting taxi afterwards for a train back to Cardiff tonight - which is borne out by his tweet about being on a slow train to Cardiff!
Just to add Ladies, Mason Neely, Lee's MD for his recent tour, played the drums when Lee sang Blue Christmas, nice to see him there.
It was also mentioned that highlights of the concert will be broadcast on local radio nearer Christmas (they were certainly recording), but no details as to when it will be broadcast as yet.
Wonderful evening. To hear Lee singing Bring Him Home so beautifully in that huge auditorium was fantastic. Spine chilling in fact. I am hoping we might get more on You Tube eventually as there were a number of cameras there, and there have been much longer excerpts of concerts put on You Tube in previous years. Nice to see his mum and dad and Casey there. They seem to go to all his appearances which I think is lovely.
I don't know if anyone has noticed but its an unlisted video. Presumably this means that it was Lee's private copy? Perhaps given to him by the Salvation Army? Well however he got it, its blooming amazing, I love it so much.
We were on the phone to my SIL in Australia this morning. OH & I had been away for the weekend, visiting family, and I'd caught a train back to London on Monday to go to the concert (OH drove home on Tuesday!). We were telling SIL this, and she said, 'Oh, was it Lee Mead? I saw that on TV" ????? OH being OH, he didn't ask her for details - but - was the concert shown in Oz, then? She wouldn't have seen it on YouTube. She said what a lovely voice he has.
Just loved the Salvation Army Concert at the Royal Albert Hall the other night and what a treat it was to hear Lee sing 'Bring Him Home' in such a superb venue.
His voice was amazing, and the true feeling he gave the song, brought tears to many eyes in the audience that night. Mine included. Just wonderful.
So sweet of him to share his private 'tweet' copy of BHH with all the fans who couldn't be there too. What a thoughtful guy he is.
I have heard/seen him sing this several times but this caps them all! What a spectacular rendition of a beautiful song - he just gets better and better! And it was so thoughtful of him to send us the link.....
Here's the link to the new video for the Salvation Army card campaign that Lee appears in -- the twitter link didn't work and it doesn't seem to be on youtube yet.
Sorry, seems the broadcast will be tomorrow, per the Timeline:

LISTEN LIVE to @salvationarmyuk 'Christmas at Albert Hall' concert with @leemeadofficial at 6pm Monday 23 Dec - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/bbc_radio_york …
I've just been listening to the concert on the radio. Lee sounded sublime singing Bring Him Home (imagine what he'd be like as JVJ *THUD*) and Blue Christmas was great fun.
