Deborah's biographer, Eric Braun, has died, aged 86. Eric was a noted British showbiz columnist as well as author of biographies of Doris Day and Beryl Reid, and a study of gay cinema, 'Frightening the Horses'.
Deborah once wrote and told me that she was very pleased with her biography, despite its lacklustre sales, because "it wasn't gossipy or unkind."

What a sad few months it has been.
