Having lived in Lahore as a student (1948-1955), worked in Pakistan and abroad, and traveled far and wide, with a keen interest in history and historical monuments in different parts of the world, I find this website a wonderful contribution by a devoted scholar. The verbal encapsulation is fascinating, and the accompanying picture quite intriguing. Methodical and comprehensive listing of sites is a tribute to the contributor\'s skill and scholarship. My best wishes for him, and thanks.

Lahore is indeed \'La-hore\'. This time I isited Lahore from a different perspective i.e to collect material for my paper. It was pleasant to see Lahorites queuing up for boarding a metro. I wished prevalence of the same sense at all other public places as well. The old city\'s Lahoris deserve all the praises for their openness and cooperation with the strangers. Long live Lahore; long live Pakistan.

This site is extra-ordinary from a Lahorian point of view.
Please note that tomb of Ayyaz, the famous slave of Mehmood Ghazanvi, locally known as Sheikh Ayaz, is situated near asooha Bazar at the end of Shahalami Gate road. That deserves to be included in his list.

Really enjoy your website. I taught in Lahore in the 1990s and it's great that someone has taken the trouble to include most of the historical monumnets in Lahore, not just the main ones in the old city. I used to live in Lytton Road, Mozang Chungi. Your article on the Sirdar Khan mosque was very useful. Could you tell me where exactly in Mozang this mosque is located. I have some great postcards of the original building, pity they removed the two towers, it looked very impressive a hundred years ago...Regards and keep up the great work Mundy Bowers
