In your list of burials in the Killury Cemetery, Ireland, you have a tomb for the John Flahive family 1831, Glenlea. I would like to have more information as to members of that family and what happened in 1831. There was a Mary Flahav in Glenlea in the Griffith's Valuation of about 1850 and I am assuming that she might have been the widow of John Flahive. Thanks and Happy New Year, Larry |

Dear Mr. Bunyan, Kerry Kate gave me the site address for your website - it's terrific!! = I loved the photos of Causeway. =20 A friend of mine asked my help in researching her Irish roots, and we = quickly found that her family comes from Causeway. Her grandmother = Bridget was the daughter of John Church and Honora Lovett, who appear in = the 1911 Causeway census, Several (but not all) of their 15children = appear on the Kerry parish records site. I noticed the cemetery transcription page on your site show a James = Church, and a Gerald Church and wife. Do you have any birth/death dates = for those two gravestones? Thank you so much for posting all those lovely photos!! Warmest regards, Sandy |

I enjoyed your site. You provided some good ideas for me when I plan a site. I have relatives in Causeway. Paddy Casey was listed on the Causeway hurley team and I may be related to him. Mary Casey and her daughter Kathleen live in the same house in Foxfort, West Dromkeen where my grandmother Bridget Casey was born to Patrick Casey and Catherine Hanrahan in 1868, thus my interest in Causeway. I have sent emails to Murty Bunyan about the Caseys. Is Foxfort the name of a road or a subdivision of homes? |

Hello Paul, Great website, it's nice to know that there are a few more Bunyans out there. My grandfather was Richard Joseph Bunyan b.1911 in Tralee. His parents were Thomas Bunyan (born c. 1874, son of Michael) and Mary McCarthy (daughter of Charles). Unfortunately that's as far back as my tree goes at the moment. I can't see any direct links with your Bunyan tree but I'm sure we're related soemwhere along the line Happy to swap what limited info. I have with anyone who is interested. Happy Christmas Daniel |

Enjoyed your website. I have been researching my Irish relatives, and my research brings me to the same area in Ireland that is shown on your site. I have a letter dated September 21, 1939 written by a great aunt of mine. Her family, headed by Margaret Dugan and Thomas McKenna lived at Ahamore when they were married in 1866. Her letter says the home was 8 miles from Tralee and 2 miles from Causeway, near the main highway. So I enjoyed the pictures from Causeway, and especially of the picture of north Ahamore! (It looks a lot by Modesto, CA!)My great aunt also mentioned that they went to mass in Lix Naw, and I saw a sign for Lix Naw in one of your pictures as well. It was all very satisfying. I also noticed the name of two McKennas on the Bunyan headstone; probably my relatives, altho I didn't recognize the specific names. Thomas and Margaret McKenna and family lived in Ahamore until they sold the property and came to the USA in 1882. Thanks for sharing. |

If you could e-mail me with any connection to the Bunyan family before the 1820s, I'd be very grateful. I am trying to find out if Ann Haviland/Havlin, from Ireland, was Ann Bunyan before she married. She was born about 1806 in Ireland, and her first child/son, my great-great-grandfather was named John Bunyan Haviland/Havlin. (He was born in East Boston, Mass., U.S.A.)Thanks for any help. Fascinating bit of research - well done. I was particularly interested in the data pertaining to Lionel Swift - a well known name in St Helens, connections with the Isle of Man and who, to my knowledge I have no connection with at all! Unless you know different. Have been able to establish any connection between the Swifts of Tarbock, those in Bold, and Lionel's lot who were in Sutton - three adjoining parishes south of St Helens. I'm seeking a link myself with a John Swift born 1833 in St Helens and William Swift of Bold. Thoughts? H howard@joinedupthinking.co.uk |

Hughes I have ggggrandparents from Ireland --Joseph Hughes and Mary Dempster Hughes. Joseph Hughes married Mary Dempster in America about 1847-1850 because they had their first child in West Bethlehelm, Penn. in 1850 ir 1851. I don't know if Joseph came with parents or alone or what year he came or where he landed, but Mary A. Dempster came from the port of Belfast to Philadelphia with her parents Alexander and Eliza and siblings in 1847 or 48. Mary was about 24 when she came to America. I just thought that I would write this if you ever have knowledge of these people. I can't seem to find out where in Ireland they came from ; all I see on America documents is from Ireland and so I don't know where to begin in Ireland. thank you for reading this. Maxine |
