Judi Dench, the best actress England has ever had, and by all accounts a lovely and decent human being. Just read Finty's comments on another page re her parents and her feelings re the loss of her father. I do so hope she finds God before much time passes and can come to a peaceful place about her father and her Father.

I just wanted to let you know, that i saw the news reguarding your health and i am not sure how you feel about lossing your sight. But i want you to know you are more than your eye\'s. Your talent, love for family and friends and the memories you have are with you with or with out your eye\'s. My Husband is blind, he became injured during a basketball game when he was younger and is now blind. And yet he see\'s more then any sighted person i know and i am not just saying this because i\'m his wife and love him with all that i am, it is true. keep up your talent make more and more films until you feel ready to retire. My husband and I enjoyed "As Time Goes By" so much! He developed a crush on Judi (he's 86). So we share him, the hairdo and macular degeneration. I just read that they are using stem cells to correct this frustrating condition. I'm reading your book right now. I can still read OK.

It's so sad that she has to suffer from macular degeneration. I know what she is confronting every minute of every day. There are not words that can express my admiration for her. I seize every opportunity to watch her in movies and t.v., especially ," As Time Goes By " . God Bless

Dear Judi, I have read about your problems with eyes. I know that it may sound ridiculous but in my family we believe that in order to keep a good eyesight one must drink carrot juice. We add some apples and celeriac. It must be freshly made, not purchased in a store and drunk within 15 minutes after preparation (juicer, juice squeezer).
You may also try blueberries but not the American blueberries (big ones) but forest blueberries. It is another eyesight remedy that I know.
These remedies might not help but definitely, they won't harm you as well. So they are worth trying.

Dame Judi is my all-time favourite female actress. So sad to hear that she is losing her eyesight to macular degeneration. my best wishes go to her at this terrible time, but she is a fighter. Keep up the good work Dame Judi!!

So Dame Judi thinks we put our older people in front of a TV and leave them there.As a semi retired person who works for £6.77 an hour as activities co-ordinator in a nursing home-actually considerably less because I always work unpaid hours,I am furious.There are thousands of people doing voluntary work and low paid work doing their best to provide a good quality of life.I heard about her remarks in the same news as there was mention of cutbacks in funding to adult services.Perhaps She would like to take advantage of her good health and good fortune and spend just an hour of her time each week using her god given talents to entertain those less fortunate.If she could get her fellow celebrities to do the same that would be great.

I did not know that Michael Williams passed. I thought he was just wonderful. What a combination, Williams and Dame Judi Dench. I just finished watching, (which I do every Saturday) AS TIME GOES BY. I thought I would look the cast up, and discovered that Michael Williams is no longer with us.
Dame Judi you are truly A STAR. Thanks for the hours of laughter and
marvelous TV. I lost my beloved on 01/25/2011, and you kept me laughing through tears. THANK YOU!

I admired her acting in Mrs Brown so much I watched at least 15 times and bought the dvd which I will watch many times more, I am 76 and of all humans that ever lived she would be my first choice after Christ that I would have loved to meet and know personally.... bar none

I have enjoyed watching Judi and her husband on the series, "Fine Romance". Have been watching "As Time Goes BY" for years and hope we here in the USA will have the pleasure of being able to watch the British Comedies, brought to us by the PBS stations, for many years.
