Work & Help

Today, I turned on the water in the kitchen, and the stream came out like in an old apocalypse movie: first it wheezed, then it sprayed in all directions. It was as if air had gotten into the pipes, but where did it come from? The faucet is new and was installed recently. Maybe the problem is somewhere deeper in the system, or is there a crack somewhere? If anyone has had a similar problem, please tell me how you solved it. And maybe you can recommend a good plumber who knows how to deal with such “air” problems.

Re: Work & Help

Wow, sounds like a real water drama . If air comes out of the tap first and then water sprays everywhere, it is most likely that air has entered the system. This happens after repairs, pipe replacement, or when an unsealed connection sucks in air. Sometimes the cause is even deeper — the check valve does not hold pressure or there is a microcrack in the supply line, which disrupts the flow. Even new faucets can “shoot” if the filter or aerator is installed incorrectly.
I would advise not to delay — call a technician who will check the system under pressure and find the exact location of the problem. To understand how such diagnostics are performed, it is worth reading the materials at drain cleaning toronto
It describes in detail how to detect air pockets, check the tightness of pipes, and restore normal pressure without complete dismantling. After such an inspection, the faucet will stop “coughing,” and the water will flow smoothly, as it should.
