Flooded basement nightmare

Got home last week to find my basement drain completely backed up, water everywhere. Plumber came out and said hydro jetting is the way to go. Never dealt with this before, anyone know roughly what a fair price looks like for a single drain line? Don't wanna get ripped off by the first quote.

Re: Flooded basement nightmare

Went through almost the exact same thing last spring after a bad storm. Our main line backed up and the plumber recommended hydro jetting over snaking because the buildup was too thick. Honestly had no idea what a normal price looked like so I spent a while researching before agreeing to anything. From what I found, a single residential drain line usually runs somewhere between $250 and $600 depending on how bad the blockage is, how accessible the line is, and the company. Commercial jobs or severely backed up mains can push higher. This breakdown actually helped me a lot when I was figuring out whether the quote I got was reasonable: clean out drain service near me goes through what affects pricing and what to ask before agreeing to anything. Saved me from just guessing. My advice: get at least two quotes before committing, and ask specifically whether a camera inspection is included or priced separately, because some companies bundle it and some don't. That alone can shift the quote by $100-150.

Re: Flooded basement nightmare

If you are a resident of a building or a landlord, asking for referrals from your close group of friends and acquaintances can help you find a plumber right away. Not only does this eliminate the need of having to read through online reviews but many people tend to go for businesses where their close friends and acquaintances favor.

If you need a major renovation or upgrade of your commercial plumbing system, I recommend checking out the information at https://bens.plumbing/areas/ballard/. We hired this company to replace the water pipes in our office. The plumbers drew up a detailed plan, calculated an estimate, and completed the work strictly according to the contract.
