Ever since I started training for a local 10K race, my knees and ankles feel much more tired after longer runs. Stretching helps a bit, but not enough. Can anyone recommend a massager that works well for runners, relaxes joints, and helps reduce post-workout inflammation? Looking for something people have actually used and liked.
Started training for a 5K last spring and my knees were killing me after runs over 4 miles. Stretching helped a little but the soreness stuck around for days. Bought a knee massager to use right after each run and it completely changed my recovery. The heat plus vibration loosens everything up and the inflammation goes down noticeably faster. I use it for about 20 minutes post-run and by morning my knees feel way more normal. Got mine from knee massager brand because they had the real heat therapy model with adjustable settings, not some cheap vibrating wrap that barely warms up. The key is using it consistently after every run, not just on bad days. After a couple weeks of this my runs got smoother and I wasn't dreading the soreness anymore. For runners it's honestly become part of my routine like stretching.
