Carl was my mother’s first cousin. She was a young girl of 11 when Carl was killed and has never forgotten him. Even now she talks about him, and my youngest brother has Carl as his middle name.
I hope to visit the cemetery where the crew is buried so that I can leave a memorial for Carl from my mother before it is too late.
