I served on Port Crew 1972 to 1974 as LRO(w) and Fore-planesman. I really enjoyed my short time onboard and also enjoyed the off-crew work as stand-in Leading Writer with Lt Robin Oliphant. Commander Lund was skipper during my time. I met a lot of really great blokes onboard. I enjoyed my time in the Royal Navy and especially as a Submariner. I joined Repulse Stbd as a JRO in 1982 and left to become a CT in 1990, eventually leaving the mob in 2004. I served on just about every type of submarine and ship during these years and still look back on my time on Repulse as my happiest years. Best wishes to all who served on her.

Sad news for those that remember him, but Joe Hyde passed away some years back.

My husband was MEA (P) 1 Alistair Dow who served in the starboard crew. Unfortunately he passed away in January 21, 2014 and I noticed in your obituary\'s his name is not mentioned. Perhaps you could add this for me. Alistair and I had two boys during his time with Repulse, which was unheard off at that time with the engine room tiffy\'s. Our oldest still has the toy that dad brought back from Florida when Repulse was out there.

Joined stbd crew as pt3 forendy in 1983. Forendies then were Steve Woolcock, Kev Bunday, Scouse Edwards. Stayed on stbd crew through to 87 when I left for killicks course. Went to Renown after killicks course, then left her to do mech\'s course. Came back to Faslane 92/93 after Mech\'s course and into Base Ordnance. Phil Roberts was the OA on Repulse Port crew then and had got redundancy. I took the OA\'s draft on Port crew and left in 96 after the final Port crew patrol, to go outside on redundancy myself mid 96.

My name is Stephanie and I’m trying to find my Dad, possibly too late as he’s around 10 to 13 years older than my Mum and she’s 77.
My Dads name is John Black Mackenzie – he’s noted on the crew list for HMS Repulse as Radio Mechanician1.  I know he lived in Naval Quarters in Hilsea in Portsmouth.  I also know that he had 4 or 5 children before I came along and there’s a previous post on the Repulse website from one of his children who has also tried to track him down although I have no idea if they succeeded.  I have a couple of photos of him but have not seen him since I was two or three years old.  Any information, stories or photos would be greatly appreciated, thank you for reading this post.
