How did you find this website?

Reading a 2000 issue of British Heritage magazine and read about the tennis courts at Bletchley Park.

Where are you from?

I am writing from Seattle, Washington but I was born in England in 1939.

Do you know exactly when the tennis courts were built? My father was from Ballyfaskin, Co. Limerick, Ireland and served in the RAF during WWII. My mother, Kathleen May Rackstraw, was working as a cook in homes of the gentry. She grew up in Oxfordshire/my grandfather was from Buckinghamshire. She met my father while he was constructing tennis courts pre-June 1938. Bletchley Park was appropriated by the Government in 1938.

Thank you so much for the beautiful pictures of Loches.
I had been living there for all my life before moving to London, and miss it a lot, even though I often come back for holidays to visit my family.

I came looking for information about Albi's cathedral. Then I just had to go to the first page and read the complete travel account. I found the pictures beautiful and the commentary really engaging. You definitely deserve your Wikipedia link! Bravo and thank you very much.

Excellent site!

On the Bletchley Park pages, you write (on Hut 8)-

"Hut 8 was not only responsible for Enigma decrypting. The Italian administrative machine cipher, C 38m, was also broken by Hut 8 during the summer of 1941."

The C 38m traffic was solved by Hut 4 (naval section). Hut 8 only dealt with naval Enigma.
