I am amazed at all of the success stories for adopting a parot. We are also proud parents of a six year old Blue Throated Conure (Coco). We are very luck to have him. He was a breeder bird and after his mate suddenly died they had to find him a new home. We contacted this breeder to find out how to adopt a bird during this time and were lucky enough to get him. He as grown to be a very big part of our family and we could not even think of a day without seeing his beautiful face. To all whom are thinking of a parot for a pet, please consider adopting before buying. There are so many wonderful feathered friends looking to find homes that are excellent birds. To those of you who have already adopted your new family member you know of what I speak.

I'm amazed at what you guys are doing for these lovely birds. At the same time I could not believe how people would neglect these wonderful & loving creatures.We have a grey Cockatiel who is so so nice that we just had to get a friend. That friend is a young Blue headed Pionus who will be weened just before Christmas,what a Christmas present eh.I managed to find him a nice Kings cage with tons of room for him to develop a good attitude. At some stage I would like to help out by adopting one of your poor little beauties, so tell me more & how.
