I grew up with no religion. We really didn't go to church, not even for Christmas. So I didn't know anything about God, just the stuff you see on TV and in the movies. But in 1992, my life completely fell apart, and when I was at my lowest point, God was there to pick me up.

A friend of mine told me to read the book of John in the Bible. So I read it- and believed. On May 24, 1992, I invited Christ into my life and into my heart. I asked God to forgive my ignorance, to forgive my sinful past, and to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I prayed for the Lord to change me because I was a mess and needed healing. I was radically changed at that moment because I was no longer living a self-directed life. I was now living for the Lord.

Romans 1:16 "For I am not afraid of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation for all who believe..." The goal of my life now is for people to see the love of Jesus in me. The Lord who created the heavens and earth and all the animals and trees and the entire galaxy knows ME by name. Me! A useless, sinful, selfish nobody. Yet He was willing to die just for me on that cross... even if no one else ever lived.

Because of who He is and what He's done for all of us, I want to share that great gift of salvation with others. If you don't know Jesus personally, I pray that you would find the time to read the book of John with an open heart, and I pray that you too would find the wonderful Prince of Peace, Savior, and Friend in Christ Jesus!!

Before yr 2000 I spent my whole life chasing a music career. It was my "god". While I'd always had thoughts about God I never stopped long enough to think about what the existence on One True God would mean for my life and everyone else - that One True God would be the ONLY source of real truth AND that if the bible was God's word then whatever it said would be absolute. I didn't like that! Because that would then mean that any of my "beliefs" that fell contrary to God's word would be incorrect. I would be wrong. 1999 was a miserable year. Although I had many great music jobs and opportunities come my way I was struggling with everything - mainly with the issue of who this Jesus was. As 2000 came around the Lord began to show me, through His word and other people, many things about the sin of man (my sin), His desire for a one on one relationship with me, His sovereignty, and HIS PRECIOUS GIFT OF GRACE THROUGH THE SAVING KNOWLEDGE OF HIS SON JESUS. It was at a final breaking point that I KNEW I had to surrender my whole life (heart) to Jesus.
Today,when I think about our Lord carrying that cross under the torment of its weight and the pain from the beatings He received, completely surrendered to the will of the Father, I am struck by how little I have actually surrendered to Him. Praise God that His mercies are new every morning. I thank the Lord that He showed me that trying to figure Him out was not going to save me or reveal any new "gems of knowledge about man". The missing ingredient was FAITH (Eph. 2:8,9). Today I am still a sinner. But God's word says that "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." This forgiveness is available because of what Jesus has done on the cross. Thanks for reading.
