I have put a link to a mediafire download of the interview in the Hallelujah thread. Its my own recording but still quite clear. Excuse the little clicks, they were on the broadcast.
Maggiemay, i've done a download which is on the Hallilujah thread and I think its already up on listen again so you can choose. The listen again will be clearer than mine, but mine can be downloaded.
I was able to listen to it this morning too Jazzy, and those clicks were definitely in the broadcast.
Lovely interview with Lee though, and I'm already totally 'In Lurve!...with the two songs!...
So glad they played them right through this time too...
Thanks for the info and links ladies...
Too late now, but he's just been on Radio Leeds too (I just got in in time to hear Falling Slowly, part of the interview, and Anthem!!)
I expect it will be on listen again shortly.
Lee tweeted earlier that he's at Western House (a BBC hub of activity) doing interviews for 7 hours!!! Looks like we can expect lots over the next couple of days, then, some live, some recorded.
Argh!...noooo!...just missed BBC Radio Leeds...hopefully listen to it later...
Just posted this on the 'Any Theme Will Do' Thread as well...
The BBC Leicester interview was a really good one too.
Lee mentioned he would love to have a Radio Show and was invited back to Leicester by the interviewer Rupal Rajani to co-present her show (if allowed of course? LOL!) next time he visits...
Oooo! watch this space!!! LOL!
She could also see him as a 'Sherlock Holmes' type character...
Hope there were some Producers listening, a 'Period Costume Drama' character would be something we would lurve! to see him in too...especially after Lord Arthur!!!
Some Fan 'Tweets' were read out too...Woo! Hoo!...
Think Lee is doing lots more interviews today, but the only one mentioned so far is on Gaydio, on Rowetta's show, which will be broadcast on Saturday, from 4.00 pm onwards, 88.4 FM.
He's just tweeted a pic of himself in his little booth. He asked for requests ..... honestly, has he no idea, what with 'KISS' in the background behind him like that??
Judging by a tweet to Lee from Gaynor Marshall of Metro Radio, he is going to be on Alan Robson's Nightowls programme at some point, but I've no idea when.
With thanks to Ro for the info, Lee was on BBC Radio Manchester at lunchtime - he was interviewed and there was also apparently a chat with ALW (presumably about the JCS thing). I think the programme is still ongoing, but should be available on Listen Again soon:-
acer, I sympathise. I did the same using the little speakers above my computer at work. Had the sound as low as poss and strained to hear.....nothing, but then at 3.45 they said he'd be on in half an hour so I raced home (I am the boss so it helps!)
Thanks for all the links everyone. I caught the last half of Manchester this morning so I need to listen again to that one.
The Coventry listen again is not accessable, something to do with restriction rights
The link's in my post further up the thread. It's available to Listen Again now. The DJ keeps saying that ALW is 'looking for Jesus'!
Oooh, Lee's on now (30 mins in)...or rather he was! I think this is the technical fault Lee tweeted about. Now we have another song (while techy bods try to find him again! ). Lee Mead has the power to make electrical equipment malfunction (remember the two mics on CIN? )!
Aaah, Lee (starting around 44 mins in).
'Halleluja'!
Nice interview.
Though when ALW was talking, an image of a large, warty amphibian kept popping into my head!
Just click on the link I put further up the thread and scroll down to today's show (18th). There should be a red box with something like 'listen now' on it, which you click and the iplayer will pop up and start playing automatically.
Thanks for all the informatiuon and links ladies
Sorry Jazzy can't answer your question...still trying to catch up from yesterday
Some lovely interviews amongst them too...
Lee tweeted that he was on bbc Essex live so just
managed to catch it, lovely interview, hopefully it
will be on listen again, Ro has tweeted on the Timeline twitter page so she may be putting it up
on the Timeline with the others. How she finds
the time I don't know but so glad she does.
I'm exhausted trying to keep up with all these interviews so how Lee must be feeling having done them all, I can't imagine!
Every one has an interesting snippet of info or an insight that maybe we didn't have before even though poor Lee has to answer the same questions so many times!
Thanks to everyone for the links and info and special thanks to Ro for getting them up on the Timeline.
Nice but short interview with Oxford. Discussed Japan and achievements and 'what's next'. Doesn't sound like much on WE front (wants to head a new musical) but fingers crossed for the TV auditions he's done and he mentioned the summer concerts again. Hong Kong and Singapore in autumn.
